STUDY DESIGN Retrospective chart review. METHODS Medical records for pediatric patients (age 0-18 years) undergoing tracheotomy between January 1, 2003, and May 31, 2012, we...
متن کاملMaternal and Neonatal Outcomes in Expectant Management of Early-Onset Severe Preeclampsia
Background and Objective: Preeclampsia is one of the most critical complications of pregnancy observed in 2%-8% of all pregnancies. Severe preeclampsia has many maternal and neonatal complications that are more prevalent in early-onset preeclampsia. The present study aimed to determine the prevalence of maternal and neonatal outcomes of expectant management of severe preeclampsia before 34 week...
متن کاملRelationship between KMC and neonatal outcomes

The present study aims at investigating the relationship between Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) and neonatal outcomes. Method: This descriptive study was 600 infants and mothers. This study used the convenience sampling method. All mo...
متن کاملNeonatal respiratory extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) referrals.
Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a complex technique for providing life support in neonatal respiratory failure. T UK Collaborative ECMO trial demonstrated cost-effectiveness and substantial improvements in neurological morbidity and mortality. Currently, infants requiring ECMO in Ireland are referred to one of various centres in the UK and Scandinavia. We aimed to review the numbe...
متن کاملRole of ECMO in neonatal myocardial infarction.
A neonate with myocardial infarction who failed to respond to conventional treatment was supported by extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Severe mitral valve regurgitation necessitated mitral valve replacement while receiving ECMO following which the infant was successfully weaned. ECMO should be considered for potentially treatable causes of catastrophic heart failure.
